What is Menopause Yoga?

Menopause Yoga* aims to educate women about what is happening in their body during the natural transition from perimenopause through to menopause and beyond. It empowers them with practical tools to help deal with symptoms such as hot flushes, anxiety, overwhelm, sleeplessness, fatigue, mood swings and low mood.

We work with gentle movement, restorative poses, breathing techniques, meditation and affirmations that are specifically aimed at managing menopause symptoms, whilst encouraging women to embrace this transition with confidence and a sense of positivity around the natural changes that are taking place.

What to Expect from a Menopause Yoga Workshop

  • a specially adapted Menopause Yoga practice usually including gentle movement and restorative poses (depending on theme)

  • information around specific menopause-related topics

  • practical tools and tips to help ease specific symptoms

  • a non-judgmental environment to share and explore your transition through the menopause

  • community and connection with others going through the menopause/perimenopause

  • advice on how to care for yourself through the menopause transition and beyond

  • rebalance and soothe your nervous system (improved sleep, reduced anxiety, greater ease in body and mind)

  • signposting to other experts and sources of information regarding wellbeing, nutrition, mental health for menopause

  • greater self awareness and a sense of confidence and positivity moving forward into post menopause

Menopause Yoga Workshop

2 - 5.30pm, Saturday 9th May

Anger and irritability? Low mood? Anxiety? Fatigue? Overwhelm? Brain fog?…

During this Menopause Yoga mini-retreat we will delve deeper into how yoga can help to overcome anxiety, overwhelm, fatigue and moodswings during the menopause transition.  You’ll learn specific breathing techniques and practical tools to manage these symptoms and be guided through a Menopause Yoga practice specially designed to support you physically and emotionally.

There will also be an opportunity to connect with others and share your experience and we’ll explore how to move into life post-menopause with greater ease and confidence, making way for a fulfilling and creative ‘Second Spring’. 

Everybody welcome - whether or not you’ve attended a yoga class or Menopause Yoga workshop before, and whether or not you’re on HRT.
